Abstract

  • IDI Banten 2017 reached 73.72 on a scale of 0 to 100. This number has increased compared to the IDI Banten 2016 figure of 71.36. The achievement of Banten's democratic performance is in the "medium" category. The classification of the level of democracy is grouped into three categories, namely "good" (index> 80), "medium" (index 60 - 80), and "bad" (index <60).
  • The change in IDI figures from 2016-2017 was influenced by three aspects of democracy, namely (1) Civil Liberties which rose 1.68 points (from 83.47 to 85.16), (2) Political Rights which dropped 4.43 points (from 68.30 to 63.87), and (3) Democratic Institutions rose by 13.99 points (from 60.99 to 74.98).
