Abstract

The number of people working in August 2018 is 5.33 million people, an increase of around 25 thousand workers when compared to the situation in August 2017.

In the same period there was also a decline in the Open Unemployment Rate from 9.28 percent to 8.52 percent.
Vocational High School graduates occupy the highest position compared to other education levels, namely 14.23 percent in August 2018.
The most absorbing labor force in Banten is the industrial sector and the trade sector, each at 23.77 percent and 19.34 percent
Based on employment status, the majority of the population works in Banten with the status of workers / employees (2.87 million people). The number of formal workers in Banten is higher than informal workers. The percentage of formal workers is relatively unchanged, from 56.92 percent in August 2018.
