December 2018 Banten Inflation of 0.63 percent

Abstract

In December 2018, the prices of goods / services for basic needs of the people in Banten generally increased. This can be seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 142.31 in November to 143.20 in December or a change in the index (inflation) of 0.63 percent.
Six of the seven expenditure groups experienced an increase in index, namely: the foodstuffs group experienced an increase in index of 1.78 percent, the transportation, communication and financial services group rose by 0.94 percent, the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group rose by 0.37 percent, the health group rose by 0.14 percent, the clothing group rose by 0.13 percent, the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose by 0.02 percent while the education, recreation and sports group decreased by -0.04 percent.
Commodities which predominantly contributed to inflation in December were air transportation, broiler eggs, chicken meat, shallots and red chili.
"Year on Year" inflation year and inflation year inflation (December 2018 CPI against December 2017) was recorded at 3.42 percent.
