Abstract

In March 2020, the level of inequality in Banten population expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.363. This figure is up 0.002 points compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.361.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2020 was recorded at 0.360, an increase compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.355. Similarly, the Gini Ratio in rural areas increased from 0.292 in September 2019 to 0.296 in March 2020.

In March 2020, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent population expenditure was 18.73 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality. When broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was 18.64 percent and in rural areas 22.00 percent
