Banten economy in the second quarter of 2018 grew 5.59 percent

Abstract

Banten economy in the second quarter of 2018 grew 5.59 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing Business Sector which grew 8.72 percent. In terms of Expenditures, the highest growth was achieved by the Total Net Exports Component which grew by 8.54 percent.
Banten economy in quarter II-2018 increased by 1.99 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Fields was 5.35 percent. While the expenditure side was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which grew by 19.86 percent.
Cumulatively, the economy of Banten up to Semester I 2018 has grown by 5.75 percent (c-to-c) with the highest growth rate occurring in the Information and Communication business sector by 8.49 percent; Transportation and Warehousing by 8.33 percent and Other Services by 8.20 percent.
The economic structure of the Province of Java in the second quarter of 2018 is still dominated by DKI Jakarta Province which contributed to the Gross Regional Regional Domestic Product of 29.84 percent, followed by East Java Province at 24.83 percent, West Java Province at 22.30 percent. Meanwhile, Banten Province contributed 6.92 percent
