Banten Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2020 was 8.01 Percent

Abstract

The number of the workforce in February 2020 was 6.11 million, down 31,197 compared to February 2019. This decrease was in line with the decline in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) by 1.73 percentage points to 64.46 percent.
In the past year, unemployment increased by 23,409 people, in line with the increase in the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) to 8.01 percent in February 2020. Judging from the level of education, the highest TPT was High School (SMA) graduates, which amounted to 13.48 percent . Following in second place, TPT graduated from SMK 11.11 percent.
The working population is 5.62 million people, a decrease of 54,606 people from February 2019. Employment that has increased the percentage of the population working mainly in Other Services (1.14 percentage points), Manufacturing Industry (0.99 percentage points), and Services The company (0.39 percent point). While employment experienced a decline mainly in trade (1.78 percentage points); Information and Communication (0.38 percentage point); and Government Administration (0.36 percentage point).
As many as 2.42 million people (43.04 percent) work in informal activities. During the past year (February 2019-February 2020), informal workers fell by 0.37 percentage points.
Most Banten residents are full workers (minimum working hours of 35 hours per week), which is 79.84 percent. While the percentage of the population who work 1-7 hours is 1.55 percent. Meanwhile, incomplete workers are divided into two, namely part-time workers (14.14 percent) and half-unemployed workers (6.03 percent).
