Farmer Exchange Rate (FER) in October 2019 of 102.79 or an increase of 0.67 percent

Abstract

Banten NTP in October 2019 was 102.79, up 0.40 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the rising price index received by farmers (IT) while the price index paid by farmers (IB) decreased.
In October 2019 there was rural deflation in Banten Province of 0.23 percent which occurred significantly in the food expenditure group while other expenditure groups experienced inflation, namely clothing, housing, health, prepared foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco, education, recreation and sports, and transportation and communication.
Banten Agriculture Exchange Rate (NTUP) in October 2019 was 108.60, up 0.36 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
The average grain price at the farm level in October compared to September for the Dry Grain Grain increased by 0.69 percent and the Dry Grain Grain experienced a decrease of 1.61 percent.
The average grain price in October 2019 at the Farmer level for the quality of MPD Rp. 5,089, GKP Rp. 4,818 per kg and low quality Rp. 4,517.
The lowest grain price at the farm level is Rp. 4,200 per kg for low quality with Ciherang variety and the highest price at the farm level is Rp 5,500 per kg for MPD quality with Ciherang variety.
The nominal wage of farm laborers in October 2019 increased compared to September 2019 of Rp. 64,126, - per day, and in real terms *) also increased by 0.64 percent, up from Rp. 44,574 per day to Rp. 44,857 per day.
