Abstract

Human development in the City of Cilegon has consistently progressed, which is marked by the increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2020, the HDI of Cilegon Municipallity has reached 73.05, or an increase of 0.04 points compared to last year's 73.01.

The progress of human development in Cilegon Municipality in 2020 is experiencing a slowdown. This is marked by the growth in HDI which was only 0.05 percent, lower than the growth in 2019 which reached 0.50 percent.
The status of human development in Cilegon Municipality in 2020 is still stuck at the “High” level or category because it is between 70 and 79.
The increase in the HDI of the City of Cilegon occurred in only three constituent components. With the highest growth for the component of Average length of schooling (RLS), while the one that experienced a decline was the component of Adjusted Expenditure per Capita (PKP). As for the value or achievement of Life Expectancy (UHH), Expectation of School Duration (HLS), Average Length of School (RLS), and PKP, respectively 66.67 years, 13.16 years, 9.87 years, and 13.010 million rupiah.
